Not All About Me
Although this is a personal blog, the things I write about are impressions and feelings that are universal to all. It is not always about me. Often, I wake up at 3 am and compelled to write about something. Without hesitation, I yield to the mechanical biddings of the computer keystrokes, allowing the words to lead me to a final focus. The end result, I did not plan to write but it is there.
I often hear from others who read the blog that it helped them in some way. In the most recent blog for instance, "A Lot of Hurt" I heard from a reader that it helped her understand how it must have felt for her own daughter to be in the throes of anxiety and despair. I believe that the blog was written for that specific reader. It is a ministry of sort to go through all the tangled emotions of pain and loss to reach a renewed perspective.
But I truly get it. My blog is about learning solutions. It is not enough to go through the angst but to find what we all want to see - hope, faith, resolve, and action. I will prayerfully ask for guidance in this mind shift as I often do not write about myself and for myself.
