Moving On
There is a bend (an inflection point) in this journey of grief to move on. There is a tendency when a wall of despair hits us to take stock of the pain of loss. But is that all there is to it? Is it enough to talk about how grand things used to be, how the memories are there ghosting us with pained remembrance, and how we go through life as if we have inherited another cross to bear?
Life goes on and so there is the hard reality of getting back up in a show of unwavering resilience, and to start counting blessings. Not every loss is an end to itself but a beginning of something new. Life after all, is a series of beginnings and endings - a cycled season of joy, loss, hope, and renewal. Aren't these all encapsulated in the 4 mysteries - joyful, sorrowful, luminous, and glorious?
