From of old, before my nature began to seek light, God carved my name with a purpose. Whatever I seek in this earthly life, my journey should end with perseverance; discovering the intended, unwrapping that gift that blossomed in the simple thought of designing my personhood. Lord, I greet the New Year with a prayer that I detach myself from worldly, material pleasure and desires and to immerse myself in the interior life of my soul. I seek to find depths of understanding, mercy, and love within me that only your grace provides. Without you, I am found empty and wanting.
