Here I Am
At the break of dawn when the darkness is dispelled by light, a gentle quiet breeze stirred my consciousness into being. "Where are you?" I responded, "Here I am, Lord. I come to do your will." I lifted my hands in prayer allowing the call to permeate through all my anxieties and worries and reach the core of my strength and will. And with the grace that can only come from above, I offered my day to God.
"Lord, I surrender my will, my thoughts, and understanding, everything that I have into your hands. I give to you all that I am. Today is a new day for creation. Use me to do your will, to carry out the purpose by which you so designed. Let me not waste a minute, a second going by idly; and with haste do your bidding. For my life only has meaning when you bless it, and breathe on it the everlasting life of grace."
