Let My Tongue Proclaim

Rest on my tongue, oh God that I may say only the words you wish.  Let me proclaim your majesty, your tenderness, and love.  That human ears may open their hearts to listen.  And human hearts may hear the sound of your voice.

I am a mere vessel, puny in size, uncommitted to memory.  But in that moment, when called to speak let my utter be as thunder and my words heavy with meaning.  For you have called upon me in your altar to be the mouthpiece that wakens timid hearts.  Allow me not to shy away from this stewardship and let me do the work you have placed in my hand.
