he next leg of the trip is through the city of Kavala (also called Neapolis and Christopholis). 

 

The mosaic painting shows a Macedonian soldier as he beckons Paul to go from a fortified city to Neapolis.  This is the exact place where Paul stepped on to Neapolis true to the depiction in the mosaic monument.
