Contention

The vexations of the spirit do not come from faraway places but from within.  The hunger for peace is not fought with battling enemies from without but within our own domains, communities, and even households.  The lover and the enemy is visible through the spectrum of a mirror.

Where do I turn if the ghoulish nightmares live within my own thoughts and desires?
