People seem to be always in a hurry.  There are many things occupying people’s time; some priorities and others not.  Lack of time seems to be a constant complaint or a reasonable explanation for not meeting goals, scheduled activities, or a perfect excuse for rationalizing unmet expectations.

Where do I spend most of my time?  Am I mindful of how I use this resource wisely, prudently, and purposefully?  Am I engaged in busy work or real work?  Who do I spend most of my time with?  What do I do with my time and why?

The answers to these questions may require not just a dreamy reverie but an actual accounting based on evidentiary observations, factual recollections, and written or verbal documentation.  This examination and deep probing will lead to a healthy assessment of how I view and manage time.

God, the author of time help me to use this resource as I should - seeking you in the mundane and ordinary moments even as I marvel at its unexpected occurences.  I was created for eternity but my days are numbered on earth.  Help me to seek what is important and to devote most of my time doing something meaningful aligned according to heaven’s tune.
