I’m Listening

Speak oh God for your servant is listening.  Let me know in my heart what it is you want me to do.  Your words are veiled and my eyes are stinging from the salty tears.  I am trying to hear and wanting to open all my faculties to receive your grace.

What is keeping me from the knowing that only wisdom can unlock?  What is the stumbling block that shuts the door of my heart?  It is my own willfulness to insist that what you are speaking aligns with my human understanding.  I am hearing but I am not listening.
