Storms
The storms life bring catch me unprepared as I knew not when and how. I weathered the storms with the hardiness of a strong plant. I bend with its gale force and submit to its awesome power. Therefore I do not break because I yield.
Lord, in the storms of life I give you my whole life. I know that if I resist, if I champion beyond my strength, it will snap me in two like a twig. Under the wings of your protection, I am safe. I hunker down in your warm embrace and I seek shelter from the destruction that it weaves along my path. In you alone I trust. I know that the storms in life come and go. The one in my midst, this too shall pass.
If I had but a moment to live, let me leave a word as a legacy for you lettered it. “This life is not all; all is life in You.”
