Petition for Health

Lord, God my brother Herky is sick.  Please, help him in his moment of distress.  I know how difficult it is when illness overcomes us.  When we do not feel well, our minds and hearts are focused on every pain we feel.  Please provide him some relief.  Bring him the refreshing waters of life that he may feel better. 

It is You oh God that we rest our weary bodies, tired from life’s journey.  We succumbed to the perishable nature of this physical life.  We need the strength and the courage to go on.  We praise you.  We hope in you.  We trust that your well of graces and mercy will flow unceasingly.

Lord, God I pray to ask for my brother’s health.  In humility, I am but ashes and can not know your full will. I lay my petition at your feet.  Your will be done.
