Only What I Need

 “Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.”

Give to me Lord what you have apportioned, things that I need.  Align my desires to match what is good that I may find joy and peace.  My daily bread both physical and spiritual is what I need for this journey.  Let me not stray to covet that which belongs to others but be content with my lot.  Not that I shouldn’t strive and work harder but that I should, only if it brings your greater glory.
