Unfailing Love
“But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.”
Psalms 33:18-19 NIV

At the height of the pandemic when lockdown was first ordered on March 15, 2020 fear was evident. The ticking of death was the announcement on the media; a daily diet of trouble and uncertainty. Will I be next among the carcasses of the dead overflowing in the morgues and makeshift cooler trucks outside the hospitals? There was grief unexpressed because the shock of losing people in the thousands do not register well. In the day to day life, we were living in fear of death.
Your unfailing love saved us. Not one of my seven siblings nor their families died because of the virus. My mother celebrated her 97th birthday spared from getting sick. Although there was hardship and displacement from work for some of my relatives and friends, hope was the prayer on our lips. Thank you Lord for your protection, healing power, and love.
