Where I Am, so Shall You

“As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon possessed begged to go with him. But Jesus said, “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.” So the man started off to visit the Ten Towns of that region and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed at what he told them.”

Lord, when you healed the man afflicted with evil spirits, he wanted to go with you.  You told him to stay where he was and from there do your work.  It was not necessary for him to leave his home or family and he can do your work where he was at.

I don’t have to seek very long to find you for your presence is right where I’m at.  I don’t have to go to foreign lands to preach the good news but start practicing right in my own home.  Every word that I speak or action that I do should be offered to you, my God.

Let my hands and feet be the source of blessing to others and my life be somebody’s answer to their prayer.  Lord God teach me to be generous not only of my time or material goods but also of my spiritual blessings.  Help me do your work where I’m at as you would have wanted.
