Prayers
“Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love, which you have shown from long ages past. Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord.”

Every morning at the crack of dawn I spend time in contemplation of your words. I commune with you in the quiet place, seeking, listening, and digesting the spiritual food you provide. I start my day and end it in prayer. Without prayer, I will never make it through the day without falling to sin.
Lord help me for I am a sinner. My puny efforts to holiness cannot match the sacramental grace you bestow. The holy Eucharist which is your body and blood satisfies my famished soul. The celebration of your holy mass is the best prayer - none can match because it is Calvary continued. It is when you are offered as the sacrifice for the expiation of sins that it’s remission is sealed.
Then there are intercessory prayers - the devotions, novena, litanies, holy rosary - through the prayers of the saints and of your mother, you hear the petitions and thanksgiving of your children.
Lord God I know this is the right path that leads to you. Prayers and supplications, sacrifice and sacraments lead me to act in accordance to your precepts so that I should desire holiness and turn away from my wayward ways.
