God is Good

 “In times of trouble, may the Lord answer your cry. May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm. May he send you help from his sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem. May he remember all your gifts and look favorably on your burnt offerings.”

God is good.  He answers prayers, protects, helps and supports, strengthens, remembers and acknowledges.  God loves us.  Did He not fashion man after His own image, created the earth and all the animals and plants, made the heavens and the waters of the seas?  Did He not breathe the breath of life in our immortal souls?

Lord God help me for I am a sinner.  My mind lapses when the twinkle in my eye catches a shiny object and departs from your decrees.  Help me to rely and trust in your words alone.  Let me discern good from evil at all times for the preservation of my soul.  That I may claim immortality even when my body is corrupted and live without death.
