The Work of His Hands
“The heavens describe the glory of God, and the firmament announces the work of his hands. Day proclaims the word to day, and night to night imparts knowledge. There are no speeches or conversations, where their voices are not being heard. Their sound has gone forth through all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world. He has placed his tabernacle in the sun, and he is like a bridegroom coming out of his bedroom. He has exulted like a giant running along the way;”

Who can know God’s essence using human comprehension? Even science does not have the measures to contain the mind of God. Yet we see God through the works of His hands. We divine His presence in the Holy Eucharist.
God uses as instruments His creatures and majestic work in the firmaments of the heavens to remind us to look up and cast our eyes upon the moon, the stars, the sun, the galaxies and ask the question, “who made all these and caused it to being?” He shows us His handiwork in the marvels we see all around us. Most specially, He shares with us His divinity when we meet Him as we minister to the sick, the lonely, the forgotten, the homeless, the abused, the imprisoned, the poor, the misunderstood, the accused, the troubled, the dying, the victims, and many more seemingly faceless encounters in our life.
Lord God reveal to me your face when I lose my temper and composure as I deal with others. Open my eyes to the true nature of my calling. That in this life, my one task is to get back to you. I am in this journey to fulfill your purpose, to glorify and magnify your name. Mold me, shape me, bend my will to conform only to yours. Forgive me in my weakness and strengthen me with grace and daily resolve to try again and again. Jesus I trust in you.
