The Sin of Deceit
“A Psalm of David. O Lord, who will dwell in your tabernacle? Or who will rest on your holy mountain?
He who speaks the truth in his heart, who has not acted deceitfully with his tongue, and has not done evil to his neighbor, and has not taken up a reproach against his neighbors.”

Lies are alternative “facts”. It is not merely a difference in perspective but a departure from what is true. It asserts that truth is malleable and can be twisted to serve its master for its own purposes. It denies Who, What, When, Where, How, and Why. It flees from objectivity and comports itself to raw emotions.
It’s offspring is a whole lot of hurt and enmity towards good. It seeks to destroy, divide, and prevaricate. Lies cover each other mounting into falsehood that cannot be swayed by reason. It becomes cultish, prone to the tongue of its leader, masterfully weaving a tale that seeks only to service its selfish needs.
Dear God, I pray for discernment so I may know good from evil and find only your truth. By words and actions, evil and good is manifested. Help me to see clearly through your lens and set me free. Jesus I trust in you.
