Seeing is Believing

 “And seeing him walking upon the sea, they were disturbed, saying: "It must be an apparition." And they cried out, because of fear. And immediately, Jesus spoke to them, saying: "Have faith. It is I. Do not be afraid."”

If I rely only on my senses, I will miss the subtle presence and manifestations of God.  He speaks in the quiet stillness in your heart.  How often do my prayers get answered through others?  And how often do I hear the gentle nudge to be someone’s answer to their prayers?

Happy are they who do not see and yet believe!  Those who have faith, hope, and trust only in God even when everything around them seems to be falling apart.

Jesus, help me with my fear.  Sometimes it is easy to lose hope or to feel alone.  You are always with me just as you promised.  You do not lie and you are holy of holies.  Help me to cling to your word and claim your promises as true.  Jesus I trust in you.
