God is Just and Merciful

 “The Lord judges the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice and according to my innocence within me.”

Let your judgment oh Lord be moved by your mercy because my sinful nature convicts me of death.  Let the blood of your Son Jesus cover my iniquities before your eyes.  You alone oh God can mete out both justice and mercy according to your own inclinations for you are God and I am your servant.  Apportion to me my lot undeserving and wretched as I am.  

Jesus I cling to your promise to have life everlasting even when I deserved punishment.  Forgive my sins and help me to live a life that is holy and pleasing to your eyes.  Jesus I trust in you.
