Change My Heart

 “Do you not understand that everything that enters into the mouth goes into the gut, and is cast into the sewer? But what proceeds from the mouth, goes forth from the heart, and those are the things that defile a man. For from the heart go out evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false testimonies, blasphemies.”

What I desire comes from my heart and from it springs good or evil.  Therefore, I pray Lord please change my heart so it desires only you.  Let what blooms from within me be filled with virtue, holiness, and love.  For what makes me unclean and causes me to sin comes from within.  The act is preceded by thought and my destiny is sealed.  Only your grace can change this heart.  Jesus I trust in you.
