Separation
A gulf separates us that I can no longer see nor touch you. All I have now are memories of you - how we lived, laughed, disagreed, and journeyed as a couple. You and I were of the same flesh and spirit and that flesh was torn from my side when you departed this earthly domain.
Only the sanctuary of your spirit remains for me to feel your presence. In death we were torn aside, separated violently and cast into the throes of forgetfulness. That sea where our senses no longer communicate; the well we can no longer drink the fresh waters of companionship.
In spirit we are alive joined still by the unbroken link of heaven’s divine plan. I will see you again at the end of my journey. You are a part of me and my spirit joyously awaits this reunion.
