Deliverance
"You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. I walk before the Lord in the land of the living." (Psalm 116;8-9)
What does it feel like to finally let go and release you from my grasp? What emotions are there when I open my eyes to the possibility that I have to die within me; let the old self perish and allow a new one to evolve?
It is a mixture of sadness and wonder that this transformation should happen at all. Letting go is banishment from a self-imposed prison of anguish. It is deliverance from the fire that seeks purification. It is casting out the weight of loss; to be light as air; transported beyond the confines of the earthly world and reach out to touch eternity.
And it is in this realm of the spirit that I found a haven, a comforting place to rest in the arms of the Heavenly Father.
