No More Tears
"Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the softly falling snow. I am the gentle showers of rain, I am the fields of ripening grain. I am in the morning hush, I am in the graceful rush of beautiful birds in circling flight. I am the starshine of the night. I am in the flowers that bloom, I am in a quiet room. I am in the birds that sing, I am in each lovely thing. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there --- I do not die." Mary Elizabeth Frye (1904-2004)
I've cried inconsolably through the days and nights of mourning and thought this sorrow will never end. But there is a time for mourning and weeping as there is time for everything else under the heavens. God sent you to be my friend to teach some divine lessons on love, forgiveness, selflessness, suffering, courage, and thankfulness. And now He is teaching me to walk by faith and not by sight.
You are now with the Father basking in His all abiding love and glory. Yet, I feel your presence in my daily life. I carry with me the love that you showed, the thoughts that you shared, and I will never forget you. Thank you, my beloved friend.
