Divine Grace
And he said to me: "My grace is sufficient for you. For virtue is perfected in weakness." And so, willingly shall I glory in my weaknesses, so that the virtue of Christ may live within me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
I cried out in pain as I experienced unfathomable loss and I found God's tender love and mercy. My questions ceased as I am reminded that life here on earth is temporary; as transient as a gasp of breath, as short-lived as the morning dew.
We suffer but for whom? For whose sake do we shed our tears? What is the purpose of life's crises and tests but to be perfected in our weakness? God's grace is sufficient and it is in Him that we entrust our suffering. He will not test us beyond our endurance and He provides the way out of our misery.
I cling to you, Oh God and your promises. As I go through the oblivescences of the past turmoil, I turned back my gaze to you. You alone are the rock; the fortress of my salvation.
