All for God's Glory
"For everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by His power, and everything is for His glory." (Romans 11:36)
Even though I knew in my heart that God is above all the purpose of my existence, it was difficult to let go of you. I was afraid to look at the future without you. I was afraid to look at the past because of the pain I experienced when you were sick and dying. I was stuck in the present, overwhelmed by sadness and loss.
I forgot how comforting it is to surrender my life to Him who knew me even before I was born. He knitted me in my mother's womb, and He knew my name. Just as He was there to greet you in heaven when you left this earthly life; God was, is, and will be the glory that we will seek to experience.
How paltry and insignificant the pleasure we look for in others, in things, in pursuits that do not serve Him. It leaves us empty and troubled. Our soul is restless until we discover only in God's bosom is there inner, lasting peace.
