The Good, the Bad, the Ugly

What you realized by your bold action was that things changed at your workplace.  You heard that a lot of people "walked" including the district manager and the regional manager who made your life a living hell.

When the Department of Labor sided with you after your unlawful termination, you received unemployment benefits because the agency did not believe you violated a company policy or that your behavior was devious in nature.  You were vindicated.

Other positive notes saw this company changing their name, their policies and procedures, and their work culture.  The salespersons no longer split their commission to pay for each other's salary.  There is now a base salary pay.  No one has to endure 12 hour shifts minding the store without compensation.  You achieved your goal to help those who did not have a voice receive better treatment than you got.  You saw wrongdoing and you did something.

The bad thing is that your health was severely compromised from the stress which eventually led to your demise.  People may say that you died of cancer.  Until the last breath of your life, you knew it was deeper than that.

The ugly truth is that you will never see justice from MCCR.  Until now, more than three years since EEOC filed charges of discrimination and reprisal on your behalf, the principal investigator assigned to your case has not completed her report of findings.

This is how the story ended for you.
